CREATIVE CAKES BY VICKI

PLAQUEMINE, LA

INVESTIGATORS - Mike, Jo, Mary, Kristen, Jamie, and Karen

We were fortunate enough to be asked to investigate a building in the historic downtown of Plaquemine, LA.  The owners of Creative Cakes by Vicki were reporting paranormal activity in their bakery.  Things like bells being rang, doors opening and boxes flying off the shelves were among some of the activity reported. 

The building was built in the late 1800's and once housed a popular nightclub.  In recent years it housed a furniture store, flooring store, and is now a bakery.  Past and present residents have reported similar activity in the building.

The investigation proved to be very eventful.  During the night not much activity was reported by our group.  There were a couple of strange noises, but not much else.  That is until around 12:30 that evening.  We decided to take a short break from investigating and we were all in the room with our monitor equipment.  It was during this time that one of the saloon style doors connecting the lobby with the kitchen flew open on it's own.  Although we can't say this was caused by a spirit, we do know no one was in the room at the time.  We were also not able to recreate the event on our own.  We have included a video of this event.  On the right side of the picture (behind the light) you will see the door swing open.  We also captured a weird orb in our video which we included in the evidence page. 

We want to thank the owners of Creative Cakes by Vicki for their great hospitality.  Not only did we have a great investigation, we were treated to some great cake and treats.  If you are in the Plaquemine area I highly recommend you try some of their cakes and pastries.
