What do you do when not much is going on within your paranormal group and you are itching to get out and do some work.  Fortunately for us, some of our team members joined our group after looking for some information about activity in their own home.  We were fortunate enough to get to meet with one of our investigators and check out their home in Jena, LA.  She had reported things like seeing apparitions, having things moved, and hearing small children play upstairs in their home.  This investigation was conducted under a little more stressful conditions than usual.  Jena, LA is the site of what has been referred to as the Jena 6.  The racial tensions in the town have garnered national attention and caused a lot of stress for it's citizens.  It was kind of odd to be travelling through this beautiful small town and seeing national news vans all over the place.  Despite the tension, the people we met in this town were very friendly and courteous.  

For the investigation, we set up our equipment, took baseline readings, and went lights out.  Most of the activity reported was taking place on the second floor so that is where we concentrated most of our efforts.  Throughout the night we were getting constant readings from our EMF meters and hearing unexplained sounds in the home.  Many of these can be explained since this is an older home.  Although some of us had a few personal experiences that left us with the impression that this home may indeed be haunted, we were not presented with any definitive proof.  From the eyewitness reports given to us it was felt that the possible spirits in the home may be that of small children.  Upon reviewing our evidence, we captured an apparent EVP (electronic voice phenomena) that seemed to substantiate the reports.  No video or photo evidence was captured.  Please click the button below to listen to the EVP.
