Private Residence in St. Tammany Parish, LA

Nestled in a small town north of New Orleans, Louisiana we were asked to investigate a private residence with a horrific past.  In 1993 a murder occured in which a man brutally beat his mom to death with a guitar.  He was convicted of murder and is currently serving time in prison. 

Although the mom is felt to haunt the house, from reports there seems to be other entities involved.  The little girl in the house has reported seeing a man she calls Jeffrey as well as a native american that has shown her where to find several artifacts.  She showed us the arrowheads she has found.  The house had been investigated before by other groups and they had reported having their hair pulled and being kicked.  The owners themselves had reported several encounters including cold spots, items being thrown, physical contact, and many other encounters. 

When we arrived, we were given a tour of the house and talked to the owner about the experiences they were having.  We were told the previous night the girl and her friend reported having some stuffed animals thrown from the closet.  Also of interest was a shed in the back of the property where the young murderer was reportedly abused by his mom.  It was in this shed where he heard voices telling him to kill his mother. 

After we set up and were treated to some great food, we went lights out and began our investigation.  The entire night was filled with equipment malfunctions.  The weird thing was that our cameras and other equipment were not getting their batteries drained (as is common during paranormal investigations), they were being turned off.  Particularly in the shed area, often times our equipment would not work or would just suddenly be turned off. 

While we were outside near the shed our founder, Mike, felt like he was poked in the chest.  During the night there were a few reports from investigators regarding unexplained smells.  Other than those there were no other personal encounters reported. 

Unfortunately no evidence was captured on the video or audio equipment.  However, due to the amount of previous experiences we plan on making return trips to this home.  We would especially like to thank the owner for the exceptional hospitality and some great food.

 

 

UPDATE: 2/09/07

Acting on our advice, the homeowner took the following photos after being awakened by her dog who was barking at the ceiling for no apparent reason.  She took the photos in the area the dog was barking and sent them to us.

 

We included a picture of the dog (just because he's so cute).  The first pic shows what appears to be an unknown mist in the owner's bedroom.

 

UPDATE: 5/04/07

On May 4th, we made a return visit to Bush.  This time, we were honored to be accompanied by a very well known psychic and author, Deborah LeBlanc.  Armed with very little information about the case, she was able to pinpoint and verify much of our previous discoveries.  She was able to pick out specific areas of the home where activity has been occuring.  She immediately knew where the murder had taken place.  We were all very impressed by the information she gave us.  However, we did not capture any evidence on this trip.  We were able to gather some data on some electrical issues with the home that are causing very high EMF (electronic magnetic frequency).  These high readings could be a natural cause of some of the activity in the home.  Hopefully with the new information we have gathered we will be able to help the home owner deal with the activity in her home.
